Ever thought about volunteering for the Citizens Advice Bureau?

Well now is a good time to get involved.

There are lots of benefits from being a volunteer:
  • It's a chance to give something to your community
  • You meet people
  • You have the satisfaction of helping people
  • You develop new skills, which may help you into paid employment
  • You are part of something dynamic that looks after the well-being of your community

You don't need formal qualifications or specific work experience to be a CAB volunteer.  The CAB will provide you with basic and ongoing training and the most up-to-date information and resources available, to enable you to provide the CAB service to the public.

What's important is that you are:

  • able to listen
  • open-minded
  • keen to learn
  • interested in people
  • eager to help others
  • interested in sharing information
  • wanting to learn about your community
  • able to make a regular time commitment

If you are interested in becoming a CAB volunteer, we would love to hear from you. Please contact your nearest bureau and talk to them about what's involved.
