How to contact CAB

If you want to contact the CAB, the best place to start is at your local bureau. Bureau volunteers will help you find the information you need. If you are interested in becoming a CAB volunteer, they will tell you what you need to do.

If you're phoning, you can use either your local bureau's number or freephone 0800 FOR CAB (0800 367 222).

E-Mailing the CAB

If you're e-mailing, please select ONE bureau and email your enquiry to that bureau only. They will respond to your e-mail. If they cannot help you with your enquiry, they will find someone who can help. Please do not bulk email your enquiry to multiple bureaux. Thank You.

Language need not be a barrier to people who would like to seek assistance from the Citizens Advice Bureaux but who lack confidence or skills in the English language.  We have a  diverse volunteer base which includes bilingual and multilingual volunteers.  We also have our own multilingual information service, CAB Language Link; this service is based in Auckland but can be accessed by the public throughout New Zealand via their local bureau.  The CAB Language Link is provided by trained staff who are able to deliver the CAB service in a wide variety of different languages.  So if a local bureau cannot directly assist a client due to language difficulties, the bureau can access the CAB Language Link on the client's behalf.

Complaints Procedure:

Each bureau has a complaints procedure. If you are not happy with the service you have received from a bureau and wish to make a complaint, please contact the Manager/Coordinator of that bureau in the first instance.
