All our services are free, confidential and independent.
From 9am to 4.30pm weekdays we have a team of trained volunteers waiting for your call or visit to the bureau. No appointment needed. You can also email us an enquiry at email@example.com, or use the Live Chat function on the home page of this website.
We currently employ a part time specialist advocate who can assist people to ensure they are receiving their correct entitlements from Work and Income. All our volunteers have been trained in consumer rights, employment rights, vehicle disputes, relationship property rights and access to children, and many other areas, and can work alongside you to resolve a problem.
In addition, we make appointments for and run a Free Legal Advice clinic every second Tuesday evening, with access to a lawyer who can give guidance (but who cannot act for you).
Migrant Connect: We provide four seminars each year on different topics to meet the settlement needs of new migrants. We offer a wrap-around interview to ensure new migrants are enjoying their legal rights in NZ, including legal tenancy and employment agreements, and are aware of the local assistance available for their settlement journey.
Language Connect is our translation service that is available in many different languages.
