About this bureau

Citizens Advice Bureau Whangarei started in 1974 and has been thriving ever since.  We have 43 volunteers who work a half day shift each week, and two part time staff for administration and keeping our local information up to date.

We are based in wheelchair friendly offices in the ground floor of the Municipal Building at 71 Bank Street - the Old Town Hall – and are open from 9am till 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

We use CAB Language Link to support speakers of other languages.

The bureau is run by the volunteers who work here, and we meet the standard of service set by the national organisation.

Our offices are on the first floor of the magnificent Old Municipal Building at 71 Bank Street in the city centre.
