Migrant Information Sessions 


If you’ve recently moved to New Zealand you probably have lots of questions about how things work. We run regular information sessions aimed at new migrants in our area, all migrants are welcome!

You can also call or come into the bureau if you want any information or assistance. You can also find more information for migrants elsewhere on our website.

CAB Nelson will hold a free information session for newcomers on Employment - Local Conditions, Expectations and Issues.

The topics include:

  • employment in Nelson-Tasman
  • answers to frequently asked questions about local employment
  • organisations that can help you
  • New Zealand Unions

“Whakatu Marae Experience” - 6 April 2017
Citizens Advice Bureau Nelson Tasman, in association with Migrant Connect and Whakatu Marae, hosted an event for those interested in becoming more knowledgeable about our local community and New Zealand culture and history. Whakatu Marae personnel welcomed our group and explained their history, their relationship with the Nelson community and how their marae links to other marae across New Zealand.
