Justice of the Peace
We offer a Justice of the Peace service every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2 pm and some Thursdays from 3 pm to 5:00pm. If we do not have a JP on duty then we can help you find one.
Legal Services
We have two free legal services available from our offices. Every Thursday evening local lawyers offer a service, appointments are necessary. Then on the fourth Wednesday of the month, from 11 am to 12 midday, the Community Law Wellington & Hutt Valley holds a clinic in our rooms; no appointment is needed for this clinic.
Specialist Consumer Advocacy Service
Citizens Advice Bureau deal with all sorts of consumer problems, but if you have a really tricky one then we have specialist interviewers who can help you.
Specialist Employment Mediator Service
Occasionally people have problems at work that they are unable to resolve on their own, it maybe a problem with a work mate, a supervisor or the boss themselves. If you aren’t a member of a union then you can discuss your problem with us. We will give you information on your rights and can arrange for our Employment Mediator to contact you for further assistance should you need it.
Budget Advice
Referrals to the Wellington Citizens Advice Bureau Budget Service can be made by contacting us - 04 387 3573. Meetings with an advisor can be arranged in our rooms or at a venue that is mutually convenient. Curtain Bank
Our bureau is a place where you can collect an application form for the curtain bank. When you have measured your windows and completed the form you can make an appointment at the curtain bank to choose your curtains. If you have curtains to donate we are also a collection point.
