We have over twenty volunteers who keep the bureau running 6 days a week. They come from a variety of backgrounds and as a result bring their own special skills and attributes. Some of these wonderful people have undertaken additional training so they can help deliver some of the specialist services we offer.

Ann has been a volunteer with our Bureau for 3 years now. Raised in the South Island she finally settled down in Wellington in the early seventies. She has worked as a receptionist typist for a number of government organizations and now divides her time between volunteering for Citizens Advice Bureau and the Mary Potter Hospice Shop and attending many of the art events held in Wellington. She is also a member of Soroptimists an international organization that aims to promote gender equality and encourage the recognition of the importance of women’s unpaid labour in contributing to the social and economic well being of our communities.
