Queen’s Service Medal for past manager of CAB Dunedin

Ngaire Duke, who managed Citizens Advice Bureau Dunedin for 22 years before retiring in February 2016, has received a Queen’s Service Medal for her services to the community.

During her time with the CAB, Mrs Duke helped establish CAB outreach clinics in Waikouaiti and Mosgiel, and saw CAB Dunedin grow to a membership of 50 dedicated volunteers.

Mrs Duke was also a member of the Dunedin Budget Advsory Service for 26 years; the Dunedin Branch of the National council of Women; the Dunedin Council of Social Services; and a member of the Melrose Singers ensemble for more than 20 years.
