Citizens Advice New Zealand (CABNZ) temporarily collects and stores information about the behavior of users of the cab.org.nz website to analyse consumer demand for the Citizens Advice Bureau's services and to improve consumer satisfaction with the site.
CABNZ does not store cookies permanently on users’ computers.
CABNZ also collects and stores information about people who contact a bureau to assist in maintaining a record of that person’s enquiries and the information and assistance provided to them, to ensure the correct person is identified in later contacts, analyse consumer demand for the CAB's services, and improve consumer satisfaction with the service.
Information collected for these purposes will be retained on our CABNZ database.
If personal information does need to be collected, Citizens Advice Bureau only collects this information directly from those who are discussing their enquiries with one of our Bureau Interviewers. This may take place in person, on the phone, by email or on-line through our On-Line Chat facility. You will always be asked for your permission before any personal information is recorded.
