In 2007 Citizens Advice Bureau NZ (CABNZ) was successful in its application to the Digital Strategy Community Partnership Fund (a fund administered by the Department of Internal Affairs). The application was for funding of CABNZ's Digital Strategy Project - a project to develop a new, integrated technology solution (of which this website is a part) for the purpose of enhancing our service to the public.
Datacom was successful in winning the contract to develop and tailor the components of our new technology systems which include:
- a database for the information we hold in relation to approximately 40,000 community services
- a client relationship management system for the 600,000 plus client enquiries we receive every year
- an Intranet
- a public website which allows access to service provider information held on our database, information on a wide range of legal topics, and access to the CAB service online in real time
The sheer size and scale of our organisation and the service we provide to the public required technology systems that can deal with very high volumes of information and complexity. Therefore the CABNZ Digital Strategy Project represented a significant undertaking for the developer. Datacom went the extra mile to produce systems that fit with our requirements.
